Apple has released iPhone OS 3.1 beta 2 SDK to its developer network. This latest version of iPhone SDK is
only available to registered users. Where OS 3.1 is available for all versions of the iPod Touch and iPhone, SDK 3.1 is available in versions which are compatible with Leopard and Snow Leopard.
Now with OS 3.1 beta 2 developers can use iPhones or iPod touches over WiFi not just restricted to USB. There are several bug fixes in OS 3.1 beta 2.
Beta 2 includes a handful of bug fixes to Xcode and various parts of the iPhone software, but there is no clear news about significant changes in new beta 2. Some new features were already added in OS 3.1 like Voice Control over Bluetooth and non-destructive video editing.
TUAW reports that the tethering and MMS hacks on iPhone OS 3.0 and 3.1 beta 1 no longer work under beta 2.
