Google has announced there new project Google Chrome OS. This is totally new project no relation with 
Google Android as Android is mobile platform. This will be open source operating system and will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010.
According to Google – Chrome OS will be lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS.
There are rumors that Microsoft is going to announce some big news in next week because of that Google made this announcement suddenly.
Google Chrome OS will main target netbook and low end PC. Google want to catch as many as net user to use there OS as it will be a free OS no doubt it can create some trouble for Microsoft.
It’s seams Google is facing some tough competition for Internet search because of that they are building so many project to retain there costumers.
Computer hardware cost is coming down and down but if you need to buy operating system for your low end PC or netbook then software as big part of your cost. Google will target those customers who don’t want to buy OS and there main use is internet. These customers can try Google Chrome OS and this will increase Google brand value and there new customers.

2. Lightweight – Google is focusing on lightweight product as they have done with Google Chrome Browser
